Focus Literacy.ca specializes in Literacy Diagnostics and Assessments for different stakeholders in the K-12 market. We provide custom plans for : Parents and Students, Tutors and Agencies, Ontario Schools, and Admissions Departments of Private Schools.
At the foundational level, we provide detailed Provincial Writing Standards Assessments of
SoR , KTCA and higher level Thinking, DOK .
At the level of Writing Refinement and Mentorship, we offer customized tools to remediate specific KICA, DOK higher level thinking skills and SoR. We also offer conversational AI literacy coaches/socratic mentors that engage students in higher level thinking.
Our Readiness Assesments are used for 2 purposes; one for benchmarking using rigorous standards, and identifying literacy and thinking gaps to provide data-driven , concrete steps for remediation, and another for providing rigorous assessments in support of applications for Admission to academic institutions .
